The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the following positions at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.

POSITION
COMPUTER PROGRAMMER/ ANALYST (2 year renewable contract)

Successful candidate will among other duties, assist to write Computer programs/applications, routines and tools according to agreed specifications to support the financial and management information system of the Institute; maintain the databases which are part of these systems and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

MSc or BSc or BSc/ HND in Computer Science ( or related IT discipline) plus at least five years post qualification experience or equivalent academic / professional qualification.

Must be alert, level-headed, possess high intellectual capability; clear analytical mind; able mind; able to deliver on schedule and have good interpersonal and excellent communication skills.

Position
BUDGET OFFICER (2 year renewable contract)

Successful candidate will develop operational and capital budgets; monitor and evaluate budgets; carry out review of account balanced, schedules and reports; assist with insurance matters; contribute in the Management Account and perform other duties as assigned.

BSc/HND Accounting or ICAN PE II plus at least five years working experience in the budget /planning unit of a reputable organization.

He/she must have a sound analytical mind and a working knowledge of Computer Spreadsheet and Oracle.

Position
DRIVER 1 (2 year renewable contract)

Successful candidate will drive Institute’s vehicle on both local and international routes; convey personnel and goods and perform other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum of WASC Certificate plus Valid Professional Drivers’ Licence with 5 years corporate driving experience.

Must be physically fit and possess ability to drive long distance, hardworking, diligent and trustworthy. Good verbal and written communication

Position: Support Coordinator x2 (Enugu & Abuja)

Job description:
Reporting to the Implementation & Support Manager, ideal candidates will lead a small team of engineers or technicians in the installation, maintenance, and support power equipment: uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), inverters, surge suppressors, stabilizers etc, The holder of this role will be required to travel extensively within Nigeria, and work at weekends

Qualification:
BSc. Electrical/Electronic Engineering

At least 5 years hands-on working experience in the installation, maintenance and support of power equipment

Basic knowledge of networking, and the ability to configure Simple Management Network Protocol (SNMP) on power equipment connected in a network

Skills:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Project
Ability to lead teams and be able to resolve issues between employees and in the field
Good communication skills, and the ability to communicate with customers at managerial levels and present fault and resolution statistics
Good planning skills
Ability to provide quick (less than 24 hours) response to customers, and provide service within defined service level agreements.
Dynamic and self -motivated
Ability to train new and less experienced engineers
Good reporting skills:
Providing accurate, detailed; and timely weekly reports to manager
Preparing preventative maintenance schedules and keeping to them
Ability to liaise with the Accounts department regarding budgeting and expenditure for the engineers, and ensuring that support expenses are vetted and sent to the Accounts department on time.
 

Position: Support Technicians - (Enugu & Abuja)
 

Job description:

Position: Fresh Graduates in Computer Science

Applicants should possess B.Sc in Computer Science/Information Technology with a minimum of 2:1 (2nd Class Upper Division), and 1-year Post NYSC experience.

Age not more than 25 years.
